I think everyone should be able to feed themselves good things, and that’s not really realistic if everyone is expected to have $30,000 worth of pans and knives and specialized whozywhatsits. Alton not only shows how to make good food without a lot of pretentious cabinet-fillers, he does in a way that’s highly entertaining. Not only is his show very fun and informative, so are his books.
He has caused the greatest amount of laughter induced pain I have ever felt. Side-splitting was, if not likely, then at least imaginable.
Also, the outfit he wore on Dress to Kill inspired levels of envy that I wasn’t really prepared for.
